Randy Travis wins Supreme Champion Sire Award at 2008 NMDA National Show!

Cobra's Randy Travis

Sire: Cobra's Chico
Dam: Cobra's Texas Sue

We had been interested in adding a top quality spotted jack to our farm for some time, and we were delighted to acquire Randy Travis. He was the 2000 ACOSA National Champion Jack, and his grand sire is the well known Cobra's Little Joe. Randy Travis is an impressive specimen who has the proven ability to pass on his heavy bone and straight legs to his offspring. His son, Li'l Angels Full Moon, owned and shown by Ken and Jeannie Richards, is the 2007 ADMS National Champion Jack and NMDA Champion Junior Miniature Donkey. We've just had our first two Randy Travis foals, and they are further proof of Randy's ability to produce top quality. You can see Colonel Travis and Cherokee Moon on our nursery and for sale pages.

Randy Travis just won the coveted Supreme Champion Sire Award at the 2008 NMDA National Show . Randy's offspring representing him at the National Show were Small Pleasures Colonel Travis, Li'l Angels Full Moon and Li'l Angels Boston Mac. This was Colonel Travis' first show, and he placed first in the Jack Foal Class.

Li'l Angels Crimson Tide

2007 GCDMA Junior Halter Champion

Sire: Itsy Bitsy Burro Co. Red October
Dam: 758's Solstice (see our jennets page)

The recent addition of our newest junior herd sire further enhances our sorrel breeding program. Tide's sire Red October is a multiple champion as well as a proven producer of top quality foals. Tide's dam Solstice is a beautiful dark red daughter of LN Star Spangled Banner.

Ken and Jeannie Richards at Li'l Angels began showing Tide as a yearling jack in 2007 and he never placed lower than second in any show. His 2007 show record included a second place finish at the ADMS Nationals, the Reserve Junior Champion Award at the State Fair of Texas, and a first place finish at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Tide also earned the 2007 GCDMA Junior Halter Champion Award with his consistently high finishes throughout the year. He is a very correct jack and has an impressive presence.

Tide has begun breeding this year.

Li'l Angels Parker

Sire: Jalan's Carolina Red
Dam: Sunset Acres Millie

Parker's first show was the 2005 Texas State Fair, where he was the First Place Yearling Jack and the Junior Champion Miniature Donkey. At the NMDA Nationals in Shelbyville, Tennessee in July 2006, Parker placed third in the nation in a large class of Yearling Jacks. He is now retired from the show ring and enjoying the comfortable life of a herd sire at Small Pleasures Farm. Along with his winning record and great conformation, he has a winning personality - he is just a sweetheart. Parker is half sorrel and has a very impressive pedigree, including Valentino 50, Circle C's Little Motown, Lazy N Nehi and Jennie Sam of Bell E Acres.

See our nursery page for Parker's first babies - great conformation, cute heads and interesting colors, including a sorrel. Take a look!

Stoney Acres Shaker

Sire: Sheloy's C-J
Dam: Truffles of North Fork

We are really excited to add this stunning sorrel jack to our breeding program. His grandsire is S.S. Red Lightening and he also has the Fireman and Circle C Little Motown in his pedigree. Shaker was the 2005 Reserve Grand Champion at Alberta and took first place at the Westerner show in 2005 before he was imported to the States to be a herd sire. In addition to his impressive appearance and background, Shaker has a kind and gentle spirit. Our first Shaker foals will be arriving Fall 2008.

Li'l Angels Galaxy

New photo! 18 months old and 30.5 inches tall.

Sire: Itsy Bitsy Burro Co. 1/2 Teaspoon
Dam: Li'l Angels Star of Hope (See our jennets page)

They don't come any cuter than this little fellow, as you can see in his pictures. He's short, compact, and very dark - we're expecting great things from this little guy. That's one of our future brood jennets with him, Li'l Angels Bella Mia - what a cute pair. Galaxy's first foals will be arriving this Fall.
